How to prepare for video Interview
1. Prepare for a Video Interview As If It Were An In Person Meeting
Prepare for a video interview as though it were an in person meeting. Make sure your camera is working properly and that your conferencings tech is updated. Take look around the room and ensure everything within view of your camcorder is neat and tidy. Avoid dressing only from the waists up.
You never know if you'll have to get up, and don't want to reveal that you're business on top, and partying on the bottom.
2. Have Your Camera Working Properly
Make sure your camera is working correctly. When recording, use the zoom feature to keep the subject in focus. Zoom out when you're not using it.
3. Be Prepared
Be prepared for any questions that may arise. Know what you're going to say before you record.
4. Keep It Clean
Keep the background clean. Use a tripod if possible. Don't let anything distract you from the conversation.
5. Dress Appropriately
Dress appropriately. Wear something professional and appropriate for the occasion.
6. Get Up Close And Personal
Get close to the interviewer. Look them in the eye. Show some personality.
